How to Resolve SSL and Connection Issues for Your Branded Lead Gen Tool Domain

Important update regarding your Lead Generation Tool custom branded domains and to help resolve any recent connection or SSL issues you may have experienced.

What Happened

To give you some context, clients experiencing SSL issues were previously routed through our custom hostname setup under `leads.cometsuite.com`. During a recent platform migration, `cometsuite.com` was inadvertently omitted from the transition process. This oversight caused certain custom hostnames to become unreachable. 

The good news is that our underlying infrastructure and IP address have not changed. However, because of how different domain registrars handle SSL security handshakes, pointing domains directly to us without an extra security layer is causing persistent SSL errors for several accounts.

The Solution: Moving to Cloudflare

To permanently resolve this and ensure your branded domain remains stable, secure, and fully reachable, we are updating our recommended configuration. 

We now highly recommend managing your custom domain through a free Cloudflare account. By routing your domain through Cloudflare, the SSL certificate is provisioned instantly on their edge network. This completely bypasses the registrar connection issues and removes the need for us to manually add custom hostnames on our end.

Next Steps for Your Team

To fix or prevent any downtime on your branded app domain, please have your technical team or developer complete the following:

1. Sign Up for Cloudflare: Create a free account at Cloudflare.com and add your custom domain.

2. Update Nameservers: Point your domain's nameservers from your current registrar to the ones provided by Cloudflare.

3. Configure Your DNS Records: Inside Cloudflare, ensure your custom app subdomain (e.g., `app.yourdomain.com`) is pointed to our platform IP address 35.202.50.27 via an **A Record** with the proxy status enabled (the orange cloud icon). 

Using Cloudflare is the fastest and most reliable way to guarantee that your SSL certificates provision instantly and your clients face zero disruptions.
